SYLLABUS OBJECTIVES

1.   Describe what is Physics.
2.   Name the basic units of length, mass, time, electric current and temperature.
3.   Use prefixes correctly: giga, mega, kilo milli, micro
4.   Convert SI units from small to larger units and from larger to small units.
5.   Convert numbers into and from standard form.
6.   Use standard form on a calculator.
7.   Read scales correctly.
8.   Calculate and measure volume of regular and irregular objects. List the instruments used to measure Volume.
9.   Define mass and use a beam balance to measure mass.
10. Define and calculate density. Measure the density of regular and irregular objects.
11. Use the correct format to write up a practical.
12. Draw a graph with the following: correct scale, labeled axes, title, plotted points.
13. Determine the gradient of straight lines.
14. Answer simple analysis questions.
